During Initial Start-up Period
During the initial start-up period, the IBAO™ is making the IBT™ credential available to applicants who meet the educational, experiential, supervision, and exam criteria outlined below. The requirements for the start-up period can be met by individuals who have met the requirements for other certificate programs. However, no specific certifications are required to meet the start-up period requirements to attain the IBT™. If an individual has met the IBT™ start-up period requirements, proof of those requirements being met will be required for certification. One way to verify our requirements is to provide proof through the verification of another certificate or through the verification of multiple certificates and documentation. A BCaBA®, RBT® or ABAT® certificate is not required for obtaining the IBT™ during the start-up/grandfathering period. However, verification of those certificates would provide evidence that the IBT™ start-up period requirements have been attained.
If you possess an RBT®, or similar certification, and wish to obtain the IBT™, please follow these steps:
- Purchase the IBT™ certification
- Send an email to email@example.com with a photo, copy, or screen shot of your RBT® or similar certification
- The IBAO™ will verify your documentation and process the order
- You will receive an email with a link to your digital certification
